RDA Sunshine Coast aims at having a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Sunshine Coast region.
Focus
A key focus of RDA Sunshine Coast will be on the economic, social and environmental issues affecting the Sunshine Coast community. RDA Sunshine Coast will be an important contributor to and driver of:
- Regional business plans and strategies, which will help support economic development, the creation of new jobs, skills development and business investment;
- Environmental solutions, which will support ongoing sustainability and the management of climate change (including the impact of drought, flood or bushfires); and
- Social inclusion strategies, which will bring together and support all members of the community.
RDA Sunshine Coast provides strategic and targeted responses to local issues and facilitates regional leadership and resilience by building partnerships between governments, regional development organisations, the private sector and other regional stakeholders.
